Practicing law since 1988, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Thiel College in 1982 and was subsequently awarded my Juris Doctorate from the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1988. In addition to being licensed to practice in North Carolina, I hold bar appointments in both the District of Columbia and Western District of the United States District Court.
I have been practicing in the State of North Carolina since 1988. I have experience addressing civil matters of law. I have been an assistant District Attorney for Cleveland and Lincoln Counties and gained valuable knowledge and experience to understand the judicial process. After serving as an assistant District Attorney, I changed my focus to primarily practicing family law. In 2003, I was certified by the Dispute Resolution Commission of NC in 2003 to handle mediation of equitable distribution and other family financial cases. Our law practice is located in Shelby, just a short distance from the Cleveland County Courthouse.
